This 2-hour virtual scenario-based caregiver training course is designed to equip providers with essential skills for infection prevention in home care education and community settings. Participants will learn and apply everyday practices such as hand hygiene, proper PPE use, cleaning and disinfecting, respiratory etiquette, laundry handling, waste management, exposure response, and the importance of knowing when to report concerns or seek assistance. Learners will engage with tools to make safer decisions during daily caregiving tasks and leave with job-ready strategies they can implement immediately.
This 2-hour virtual scenario-based caregiver training course helps learners identify caregiver stress, strain, burnout, compassion fatigue, and early warning signs before they escalate. In this home care education program, participants will practice realistic self-care strategies, use practical tools, and develop a simple action plan focused on recovery, support-seeking, establishing boundaries, and sustainable caregiving. The course emphasizes that caregiver wellbeing is a critical issue of safety, quality, dignity, and sustainability—not a personal failure, including aspects such as infection prevention.
